Eurex’s Partnership Program: Expansion to the short-term interest rate (STIR) segment

Eurex Circular 053/23 Eurex’s Partnership Program: Expansion to the short-term interest rate (STIR) segment

1.   Introduction

The Executive Boards of Eurex Frankfurt AG and Eurex Clearing AG took the decision to expand their Partnership Program to include short-term interest rate (STIR) derivatives. The design of the program extension is complementary to the OTC interest rate derivatives segment, which started in January 2018. As part of its Partnership Program, Eurex shares governance and economics with the most active program participants.

This circular contains further information on the program and the registration process.

2.   Required action

Clients who are interested to receive the complete information package about the program are kindly asked to complete the enrolment form on the Eurex website www.eurex.com under the following link:

Join > Partnership Program STIR > Request more information

After Eurex Clearing has received the enrolment form, the client will receive the information package including the program registration form.

3.   Details

The design of the Partnership Program extension is complementary to the OTC interest rate swaps segment, which started in January 2018. The performance-based program aims to build a balanced ecosystem where responsibilities and benefits are fully aligned between all participants in terms of economics and governance.

Measurement for the STIR Partnership Program will launch together with the re-launch of EURIBOR Futures and Options in Q4 2023.

Market participants can now register to join the new program components.

Clients who fully register for the program until 11 August 2023 can benefit from an extra reward within the Partnership Program performance framework.

This phase has been prolonged in comparison to the timeline initially communicated in the press announcement from 7 June 2023.

Further details on the expansion of the partnership program can be found on the dedicated webpage:

Join > Partnership Program STIR

as well as in the press release from 7 June 2023:

Eurex to build an EU-based liquidity pool for Euro short-term interest rate derivatives.
