Central Securities Depositories Regulation FAQ

Eurex

CSDR will treat deliveries out of Eurex Derivatives Exercise/Assignments and Notification/Allocations in the same way as delivery instructions out of Cash markets and Repo markets. This means, that late deliveries will be in scope of CSDR penalty regime and Buy-in regime. The penalty calculation is done by the relevant CSD (e.g. Clearstream). Based on CSDR RTS Art. 19 Eurex Clearing will receive the penalty calculation on a daily base and will book the penalties on monthly base for all late deliveries of European instruments which fall under the rules of CSDR. The Buy-in auction for non-CSDR and CSDR relevant instruments will be handled via the 'Buy-in Agent'. CSDR introduces a new mandatory Buy-in and cash compensation schedule for regulated instruments.

CSDR introduces new instrument classifications and a new mandatory Buy-in schedule for regulated instruments.
Buy-in processing for CSDR relevant instruments will be handled via 'Buy-in Agent'.
Please refer to the Eurex Clearing CSDR Release Notes for further details.
