Information on the suspension of Swiss Securities

The EU Commission has not extended the exchange equivalence of the Swiss stock exchanges for the period after 30 June 2019. The Swiss government has responded by introducing countermeasures that require foreign stock exchanges to be recognised. This will be granted automatically, but not for trading venues within the European Union. As a result, EU trading venues will no longer be allowed to offer trading in Swiss equity securities with effect from 1 July 2019.

The management of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FWB) is therefore obliged to suspend trading in the securities concerned. In the appendix you will find a list of shares and certificates representing shares that would be affected by a suspension of trading as of Monday, July 1, 2019.

All Swiss shares admitted to trading on the Regulated Market of Frankfurt Stock Exchange will not be affected.

Please note that this letter is a legally non-binding preliminary information and does not constitute a suspension resolution by the management of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Suspension notices will be published as usual in the Xetra Newsboard at xetra.com/newsboard.
