Reporting in accordance with the German Due Diligence in Supply Chains Act

Deutsche Börse Group is committed to its corporate responsibility to uphold human rights and the associated environmental standards and is committed to fair working conditions in cross-border supply chains. Since 1 January 2023, it has been subject to the German Act on Corporate Due Diligence to Prevent Human Rights Violations in Supply Chains (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz - LkSG), which defines the corporate responsibility to respect human rights in supply chains. With this report, Deutsche Börse AG fulfils its obligation to regularly publish a report on the fulfilment of its due diligence obligations on its website (Section 10 (2) LkSG). The report is based on a catalogue of questions defined by the German Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA), which is available and answered by obliged companies via an electronic portal.

The following report on the LkSG of Deutsche Börse AG for the 2023 financial year explains in particular how the LkSG was implemented in the organisation and how the due diligence obligations were complied with and monitored. The report also outlines which human rights and environmental risks or violations of a human rights or environmental obligation have been identified in Deutsche Börse AG's own business area and at direct suppliers, and which measures have been taken to mitigate and prevent those (potential) risks.
