Sponsored Access (SpA) & Overall Risk Limit (ORL) Functionality

A new "Sponsored Access" model will be introduced, allowing admitted Trading Participants to provide their clients with low-latency direct access to the Deutsche Börse Xetra platform.

This benefits clients by offering a new, highly flexible access path. The integrated ORL functionality enables sponsoring participants to set three levels of automated risk controls (warning, slowdown, and stop-trading), enhancing risk management.

Clients who wish to act as Sponsored Access Providers are advised to prepare their technical systems and operational processes for this new model. We strongly recommend using the dedicated simulation environment for comprehensive testing.

Xetra Midpoint Enhancements

Two new optional trading restrictions will be available for Xetra Midpoint Orders, providing more granular control over trading strategies.

The "Midpoint-Book-Only" restriction prevents immediate execution, while the "Counterparty-Resting-Time" restriction ensures orders are only executed against other orders that have rested in the book for a minimum period.

Clients who utilize Midpoint Orders and wish to use these new functions are encouraged to update their trading applications. Testing in the simulation environment is encouraged.

Enhanced Drop Copy Interface (EDCI) Improvements

The EDCI will be upgraded to include retransmission services and provide information on rejected order transactions. This enhancement creates a more robust data feed for improved monitoring and reconciliation.

Clients using the EDCI are advised to adapt their applications to process the new information.
