Upgrade of Packet Capture Firmware; Effect on HPT Timestamps

We are going to upgrade the firmware of our packet capture devices to the current stable release. Devices that take the t_9d (EOBICaptTime) and t_3a (ETICaptTime) timestamps delivered in the HPT files will be upgraded on the following dates:

  1. 2019-08-17 B side (odd partitions)
  2. 2019-08-24 A side (even partitions)

The new firmware release contains a bugfix to correct the absolute calibration of the timestamps.

As a result of this, you will see the t_9d and t_3a timestamps shift. This shift is going to be around -2.2 nanoseconds, i.e. the times after the upgrade will be 2.2 ns earlier than before the upgrade.
