Clean-up of historical ETI news messages

Effective with the T7 Release 8.1 Simulation and Production start

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that with the introduction of T7 release 8.1, first in simulation on 04. May and later in production on 29. June, all historical ETI News messages will be removed from the system and cannot be accessed any more via ETI or via GUI. Only the Eurex Website will show historical News. In order to avoid gaps or duplicate sequence numbers in the ETI News message stream and the corresponding retransmit message stream on the release introduction day, the sequence numbers of News messages will be reset to 1. Member applications must therefore be able to handle the resetting of the sequence numbers. Therefore, it is recommended to ensure the following:

  • In case historical News messages are required, the contents of the historical News messages should be saved in a place where duplicate sequence numbers are supported.
  • In needs to be ensured that an application can deal with a reset of the News message sequence number to 1.

Please note: With each release introduction starting with T7 release 8.1, the sequence number for News messages will always be reset to 1. The first News message received after any future release introduction will always carry the sequence number 1.
