Eurex connectivity: Introduction of new market data and order entry switches - Update on launch timeline

Eurex Circular 006/23 Eurex connectivity: Introduction of new market data and order entry switches - Update on launch timeline

1.  Introduction

In Eurex Circular 112/22, Eurex informed about the introduction of new market data and order entry switches, specifically:

  • Introduction of a fifth 10Gbit/s market data switch (A-side) and a seventh 10Gbit/s market data switch (B-side),
  • Introduction of a sixth 10Gbit/s order entry switch (A-side only).

Due to required re-allocation of resources for further optimization of the CoLocation 2.0 network (for more details please see the published implementation news as messages under the following path: Support > Information Channels > Implementation News) and resulting time constraints, the introduction of the new Eurex switches will be delayed. The new switches will be available from 13 March 2023 onwards.

2.  Required action

There is no action required for participation.

3.  Details

The overall connection limits, as defined in the current GTC to the Connection Agreement and GTC to the Provider Connection Agreement with a maximum of six (6) 10Gbit/s order entry connections per access point (switch) and forty (40) 10Gbit/s market data connections per Trading Participant or Contracting Party, will remain unchanged.

As an additional temporary restriction during the pre-launch phase before 13 March 2023, ordering of maximum two connections per new switch per Trading Participant will be possible.
