Wholesale Trading Facilities

The Eurex Wholesale Trading facilities enable participants to enter off-order book trades in the Eurex® system. With these facilities you can benefit from the flexibility of customized trading and the advantages of standardized clearing and settlement.

Most facilities are pure OTC Trade Entry facilities with bilateral agreement of price and quantities. Block Auction Requests also facilitate the fully anonymous price discovery and counterparty search for large size trades.

Wholesale Trading Facilities at Eurex: Development of Trading Volume (in Million Contracts, Single Counted)

The Eurex Wholesale Trading facilities show increased interest: over 594 million contracts were traded in total in 2007.

The strongest increase was registered in the equity index options segment where the total volume in 2007 almost doubled to 234 million traded contracts.

For the utilization of OTC Trade Entry facilities special conditions apply. Eurex members (or applicants in the admission process) must process the relevant OTC Trade Entry application forms.
