Wholesale Trading Facilities

The Eurex Wholesale Trading facilities enable participants to enter off-order book trades in the Eurex® system. With these facilities you can benefit from the flexibility of customized trading and the advantages of standardized clearing and settlement.

Most facilities are pure OTC Trade Entry facilities with bilateral agreement of price and quantities. Block Auction Requests also facilitate the fully anonymous price discovery and counterparty search for large size trades.

Wholesale Trading Facilities at Eurex: Development of Trading Volume (in Million Contracts, Single Counted)

More than 710 million contracts were traded in 2009 via the Eurex Wholesale Trading facilities with more than half of the volumes in equity index products.

In 2010 the strongest volume increase was registered within the Single Stock Futures segment. Here the total volume rose by 55% to more than 133 million traded contracts in the wholesale segment (year-to-date, May 2009 versus 2010).

The month of May 2010 represents a record volume month with almost 130 million contracts traded using the Eurex Wholesale Trading facilities.
