Enhanced Transaction Solution - Enhancements

Member firms have actively adopted the use of Eurex's optional interfaces. In fact, by mid 2010, between 60 and 70 percent of all options orders and quotes and between 80 and 90 percent of all futures orders entered were using the Enhanced Transaction Solution. The changes included in Eurex Release 13.0 further improve the flexibility of the interface.

Automatic Notification of Session ID to Gateway Assignments

Members now are given their session to gateway assignments in the response to the 'Trading Session Logon Notification' on a daily basis. They are also informed automatically in which matching engine site a given gateway they are assigned to is located. This is being done in order to provide members with benefits resulting from future infrastructure changes or additional load balancing measures.

Prior to Eurex Release 13.0, the process for changing a member's gateway to session assignments required a certain degree of manual processing, customer interaction and lead time.

Relative Quantities for the Modify Order Request

In response to member request, an additional field has been added to the Modify Order request in Eurex Release 13.0. This new field enables order quantities to be modified with a relative value (for example, -20) for regular orders, stop orders, combination orders and strategy orders.

Prior to the new release, users were required to specify in an absolute value format, e.g. 100, the total order quantity (OrderQty) when modifying an order.

Harmonization of Timestamps

Members now will be given a consistent timestamp granularity, which enables the comparison of timestamps between the individual socket interfaces. With Eurex Release 13.0 these timestamps now are provided with microsecond granularity. The 'Host-in' and 'Host-out' timestamps have been added to the network message in each Enhanced Transaction Solution response, which provides members with information with respect to the processing times of their transactions on the matching engines.

Prior to Eurex Release 13.0, the Enhanced Transaction Solution interface provided a variety of timestamps with differing granularities.

Cancel-on-Disconnect for Persistent Orders

In order to provide members with the same level of flexibility and protection against unforeseen circumstances, the Cancel-on-Disconnect functionality, which already existed for non-persistent orders, has been extended to also cover persistent orders. The mechanism works the same as it does for non-persistent orders. This functionality is available exclusively for orders entered via the Enhanced Transaction Solution.

Information Provision and Recovery

A new functionality allows settlement prices, open interest and trade data which may not have been received via the Enhanced Broadcast Solution interface to be recovered via the Enhanced Transaction Solution interface.

Trade Reversals

In Eurex Release 12.0, Enhanced Transaction Solution notifications sent for trade reversals contained the TradeId of the trade that was reversed in the field text2, with STORNO prefixed to the ID.

In Eurex Release 13.0, the field text2 is no longer filled with the STORNO information; instead a new field RefTradeId has been introduced to hold the TradeId of the trade that was reversed.

Furthermore, the list of valid values for the field TrnTypeCod has been enhanced by REV and a new transaction type code value REV was introduced to the info/event notification.
