Real-Time Position Transfer

The real-time position transfer facility allows positions to be transferred real-time as opposed to during the state change to Post Restricted. A new Transfer Mode radio button has been added to the Position Transfer Entry window, which defaults to 'R' ('Real-Time Position Transfer'). Members can change the default value to 'C' ('Classic Position Transfer').

No change is made to cash amounts attached to the real-time position transfer, which, like classic position transfers, move the cash on the following business day.

New transaction types have been introduced for real-time position transfer and real-time position transfer with cash.

New Fields in Position Transfer Entry Window

Two new fields, Original Trade Price and Total Cash Amount have been added to the Position Transfer Entry window. This has been done in order to improve the position transfer with cash functionality so that it now calculates the cash amount on behalf of the member (optional feature).

The Original Trade Price and Cash Amount fields can be edited by the user. The Original Trade Price field is editable only for the transfer of long or short positions, but not both. If both sides are transferred in one transfer, the entry of an Original Trade Price is not supported. The Total Cash Amount field is non-editable, but is filled by the GUI if values are added to the Original Trade Price and/or the Cash Amount fields.

Please note that this feature is only supported for position transfers entered via the Eurex GUI. No automatic calculation takes place for requests coming directly via VALUES API.
