Enhancements to Unsuccessful Processed Give-Ups

Eurex Release 13.0 introduces functional enhancements for the handling of unaccepted give-ups.

The status of these transactions will no longer be deleted, but will instead be changed to U(ndesignated) allowing easier identification/allocation on t+1.

Status Changes for Unsuccessful Processed Give-Ups

Prior to the introduction of Eurex Release 13.0, for pending give-up transactions, the Eurex® system ran a 'clean-up' process during end-of-day whereby all status' (P, M, G, N, R and U) were deleted. This means all additional give-up information (reference text/receiving member) was deleted along with the give-up status.

To support members, this clean-up process has been enhanced (for same-day transactions only).

Instead of deleting the status and all referring give-up information, the status for unsuccessful give-ups is set to U(ndesignated) and the referred give-up information is retained.

For unsuccessful transferred give-ups with status R(ejected) the status will still be deleted.

The aforementioned status change is implemented for give-ups of same-day-trades only, that is:

  • Transactions not created from Historical Trade Transfer (HiTT) transactions
  • No give-ups from a trade from a previous date
