New Exercise Assignment Overview Window

The Exercise Assignment Summary Overview, Assignment Overview and Assignment Filter GUI windows have been deleted and are replaced by a new Exercise Assignment Overview window. This window is available for Clearing and Non-Clearing Members, and displays all applicable fields for exercised long positions and assigned short positions per options contract, per exchange member and per account.

Two checkboxes, Exercised and Assigned, enable users to inquire about individual exercised/assigned positions, or both, in a single inquiry. These checkboxes also are available for members on the updated Exercise Assignment Filter window.

Updates to the Exercise Overview Window

The Exercise Overview window displays information in a new Overview tab. A new UnExerReason drop-down list-box has been added to this tab that will indicate why any in-the-money positions have not been exercised. The new UnExerReason drop-down list-box in the inquiry response will display one of the following to indicate why the in-the-money position was not exercised:

  • * (Displays all unexercised in-the-money positions)
  • Aband. + Insuff. (Displays the combination of option positions meeting both the "Insufficent" & "Abandoned" criteria)
  • Insufficient (Displays not automatically exercised positions as certain predefined in-the-money parameters were not met)
  • Abandoned (Displays positions which were manually excluded from automatic exercise)
