Trading Procedures

At the end of the Eurex trading day, expired positions will be transferred from Eurex Clearing to KRX in order to consolidate open interest at KRX. The product can only be traded by Eurex Members who have at least one associated KRX Member who is designated to establish the respective KOSPI 200 Options positions on KRX on the following trading day. When entering an order, quote or trade adjustment, Eurex Members will have to enter a three-digit KRX member ID and maximum nine character identification number in the free format text field TEXT. The TEXT field will refer to the KRX Member table and determine whether the KRX member ID has a valid relationship with the Eurex Member entering the request. It will also determine whether at least one of the remaining nine characters is entered. If the KRX member ID entered in the TEXT field is:

  • Valid and at least one character for the identification number is entered, the request will be accepted.
  • Invalid, or the identification number is not entered, the request will be rejected. The Eurex Member will, however, be able to re-enter this required information in the TEXT field.
