Eurex/ISE LinkEurex, the International Securities Exchange (ISE), Eurex Clearing and the Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) will provide a transatlantic trading and clearing link that enables Eurex Members to trade options listed at ISE through their existing Eurex memberships. In addition, significant synergies can be achieved by Eurex Members as they can utilize their existing clearing infrastructures. ISE operates the world's largest equity options exchange, offering over 2,000 products in asset classes such as equity, equity index, ETF and FX. Eurex Members will initially gain access to 430 of the most liquid options contracts via the Eurex/ISE Link. The full suite of ISE products will become available successively. Eurex and ISE are determined to reduce barriers to access the US equity options market in order to expand distribution. Reduced paperwork and U.S. regulatory exemptions are just some of the ways that participation in the Eurex/ISE Link is encouraged. Eurex Members are given the opportunity to choose between using a straightforward trading software application (ISE front-end PrecISE Trade®), a third-party ISV solution or by adapting their self-developed trading applications. In addition to access to a broader range of products, members benefit from additional synergies on the clearing side. The Eurex/ISE Link offers an integrated Eurex Clearing/OCC solution, which facilitates market entry. Those using the Eurex/ISE Link also can take advantage of cross margining between Eurex and ISE products* as well as re-use existing collateral to cover risk exposure in ISE options. The Eurex/ISE Link will be technically implemented with Eurex Release 12.0. Activation of the Eurex/ISE Link is expected to occur shortly after the introduction of Eurex Release 12.0 depending on the approval by the regulatory supervisory authorities. Further Information about the Eurex/ISE Link is available here or on our microsite www.eurex-ise.com
* Cross margining is only applicable to Eurex Single Stock Futures and ISE Options based on the same underlying.
