Maximum Order SizeEurex Release 11.0 will support maximum order quantities of up to 999,999 for on-exchange orders including futures calendar spreads. This will match the maximum order size for OTC trades, which is also 999,999. The maximum size for quotes will remain at 9,999. Prior to Eurex Release 11.0, the maximum order quantity that can be entered for on-exchange orders, including futures calendar spreads, was 9,999. This change will be made in order to enhance the entry of large orders and trades for on-exchange products, including calendar spreads. This larger order size was already in place for OTC orders. By introducing this update, Eurex has aligned order sizes within the system. In order to prevent inadvertent errors, even after the launch of Eurex Release 11.0, default maximum order sizes for existing Non-Clearing Members (NCM) will remain at pre-release 11.0 levels. Default maximum order sizes for new Non-Clearing Members (NCM) will, as before, be zero. Any time that a particular NCM wishes to adjust its maximum order sizes, it must contact its respective Clearing Member. Thus, Clearing Members have oversight for their NCMs. The quantity fields in the following GUI windows and the requests/broadcasts used for these windows will be enhanced to handle 6-digit order sizes:
The MaxOrdrQty and MaxCalSprdQty fields in the following Product Assignment windows will be modified to accept six-digit maximum order sizes:
The MaxOrdrQty field on the Product Maintenance window will also allow the entry of six-digit maximum order sizes. |
