Same, same, but different and better: T7 Release 7.0

With the launch of our trading architecture T7, we at Eurex provided our clients with more choices and greater performance – all in Eurex’ renowned reliability. With its convincing cutting-edge technology, ultra-low latency, robustness and safe handling of very high throughputs, T7 has already been adopted by a number of exchanges for derivatives trading as well as cash trading. T7 Release 7.0 is planned for 3 December 2018. So it’s about time to give you a short summary of the upcoming advances and enhancements.

Improvements and enhanced functionalities

T7 Release 7.0 brings you more of everything you already value in our T7 architecture plus a number of new and enhanced functionalities such as:

Eurex Improve will extend our matching functionality to allow for price improvement requests of individual client orders to be sent to the order book. The innovative feature of this solution will be the full integration into the order book matching and provide benefits for end customers in terms of price improvements and likewise a fair volume distribution among liquidity providers and brokers. Enhanced and new risk functionalities and protection will be introduced to further support risk management for participants. Enhancements of Quote Mass Cancellation and Market Maker Protection to Business Unit level allow for further cost savings and risk reduction for liquidity providers who actively provide liquidity via multiple sessions. A new Pre-Trade Risk Limits functionality will continuously check whether traded quantities in combination with the incoming order activity would breach the pre-defined risk limits. Available for on-book and off-book trading activity both for Non-Clearing and Clearing members, it can be used by any participant, especially where limiting of exposure matters.

The simulation period for T7 Release 7.0 is planned to start on 24 September 2018. This circular provides Eurex Trading Participants and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) with detailed information on the enhancements planned for T7 Release 7.0.
