The leading international exchange Eurex today announced the opening of its representative office in Hong Kong in February 2009. This is a further important step to strengthen and expand Eurex's relationships to its business partners in Hong Kong. Paul Lo, who joined Eurex in June 2007, is the manager of the new Eurex office.

The new presence in Hong Kong will further improve Eurex's customer service and extend Eurex's commitment to the region, in which close relationships with a number of key institutions have already been established. At present, ten exchange members have been admitted and are directly trading from the Asia-Pacific region.

The new Eurex office in Hong Kong – as a part of Deutsche Börse Group's international offices – complements the recently opened representative office of Deutsche Börse in Beijing, which started its operation in December 2008.
