Eurex Appoints New Member of the Board of Directors

The shareholders of Eurex Zürich AG elected Dr Urs Rüegsegger as member of the Board of Directors during the Extraordinary General Meeting on 26 June 2008. Urs Rüegsegger will replace Dr. Heinrich Henckel, who has resigned from the Board of Directors, with effect from 1 August 2008. He has been appointed member of the Board for three years. Urs Rüegsegger has also been elected to the Supervisory Boards of Eurex Frankfurt AG and Eurex Clearing AG for a period of five years.
Dr Urs Rüegsegger is CEO of the Group Executive Board of Swiss Financial Market Services AG, the parent company of SWX Swiss Exchange AG. SWX and Deutsche Börse jointly operate Eurex.
