On Thursday, the Supervisory Boards of Eurex Zürich AG and Eurex Frankfurt AG appointed Michael Peters to the Executive Boards of both companies for a period of three years with effect from 1 October 2006. As “Global Head of Sales” he will be responsible for sales and marketing.

Peters (42) comes to Eurex from OMX, where he has been responsible for strategic initiatives and major international projects for stock exchanges and clearing organizations. OMX, which Peters joined in 2001, operates stock exchanges in northern Europe and the Baltic states, and is among the leading IT and service providers for the global securities industry. Before moving to OMX, Peters spent nine years in various management positions in sales, marketing and as a project manager for Deutsche Börse, as well as for Eurex and its forerunner, DTB. His posts included Head of Xetra Market Development, Manager of the Representative Office in London, and Implementation Manager for the Xetra trading system.
