Record Trading Volume in Dow Jones Italy Titans 30 Future on August 17

6401 contracts traded account for market share of more than 29 percent

Eurex introduced a future on the Dow Jones Italy Titans 30 index on July 19, responding to market demand for a cost-effective, transparent Italian offering, tailored to clients’ needs. The future is based on the Dow Jones Italy Titans 30 Index and contains the thirty largest and most liquid Italian stocks. Eurex also offers trading in options on the 12 most liquid Italian stocks as part of its Italian segment.

Eurex’s customers benefit from cost savings through cross margining with German and European derivatives traded on Eurex.

Banca IMI S.p.A., BNP Paribas, Hypovereinsbank and Timber Hill, experts in Italian derivatives trading, are market maker for the new future. The Italian banks Banca Akros S.p.A. and Banca Caboto S.p.A. are actively operating as permanent market makers for Italian equity options. The Italian bank Abaxbank S.p.A. will also commence its duties as permanent market maker for Italian stock.
