Eurex US trades 39,441 contracts on the first trading day

Eurex US, the new all-electronic U.S. futures exchange, traded 39,441 contracts in U.S. Treasury futures on its first trading day. The future on the 10 year Treasury Note was the most actively traded contract with 25,472 contracts traded.

Chicago-based Eurex US started trading on Sunday evening at 07.00 p.m. with the trading day ending on Monday at 4.00 p.m. Eurex US currently maintains markets for futures and options on 2-, 5- and 10-year Treasury Notes and on 30-year Treasury Bonds.
