Further internationalization of Xetra and Eurex
21 Jan 1999
Deutsche Börse and Eurex, the common derivatives market of Deutsche Börse and the Swiss exchange, are expanding their international presence. On Thursday evening, the leading European exchange organization and the largest European derivatives exchange opened a new representative office in Paris. Both electronic trading systems, Xetra and Eurex, will also be marketed from this site in the future. With the expansion of their sales network, Deutsche Börse and Eurex are further enhancing their services for exchange members. The Paris location is the third joint representative office of the two exchanges, after Chicago and London.
The branch was opened with a ceremony hosted by Dr. Reto Francioni, deputy chief executive of Deutsche Börse AG, and Otto E. Nägeli, the Eurex deputy CEO, together with German ambassador Peter Hartmann, and about 250 guests from the financial community in attendance.
