Eurex Extends Trading Hours in Swiss Stock Options and Index Derivatives

As of June 25, trading until 5:50 p.m. CET

06 Jun 2001
On June 25, 2001, Eurex, the international derviatives market, is extending its trading hours for all Swiss equities and equity index derivatives from 4:50 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. CET. The announcement was made by the world's Number One derivatives exchange on Wednesday.

The longer trading hours are valid for all products based on Swiss equities, such as the SMI Option, SMI Future and Swiss equity options. The settlement prices will then be calculated based on the closing price at 6:00 p.m. The longer trading hours in derivatives trading reflect the changed trading hours in the cash-market trading of Swiss equities as a result of the merger between the Swiss Exchange SWX and Tradepoint.
