Eurex BondsIn October 2000, Eurex Bonds was conceived as an off-exchange electronic wholesale trading platform in fixed income securities and Treasury discount papers. By having networked the Eurex Bonds trading platform into the Eurex Clearing AG settlement system, the Eurex Clearing House acts as the central counterparty for all bond trades leading to a risk and cost reduction for all connected participants. Additionally, a direct link between spot and futures markets is available for the first time to enable electronic basis trading of bonds and futures via an integrated central order book. Market Makers provide the necessary liquidity in the bond and basis instruments. The current product range includes different instruments available for trading: German government bonds including inflation-linked bonds and T-bills, basis instruments, Agencies and German Jumbo Pfandbriefe, German federal state bonds, European covered bonds France, Great-Britain, Ireland, the Netherlands and Spain, selected European corporate bonds as well as European government bonds from Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.
