The U.S. regulatory agency, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), has approved trading
in additional Eurex products for the U.S. market effective immediately. The approval comprises
the futures on the Dow Jones STOXX® Large and Small 200 Index as well as six Dow Jones
STOXX® 600 sector indexes.

EEX and Eurex are expanding their cooperation in CO2 trading. As of March 26 2008, it will be
possible to trade in futures on CERs (Certified Emission Reductions), global emission credits
in accordance with the Kyoto Protocol, on the EEX.

Eurex and International Securities Exchange (ISE) announce that they will
jointly develop a new Options Trading System for ISE. This step marks the
first joint initiative following the merger of the two companies, which was
completed on December 19, 2007.

The Exchange Council of Eurex Deutschland and the Exchange Council of the
Frankfurt Stock Exchange (Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse - FWB) were reconstituted
on 18 January 2008. Each council consists of 18 members elected for a period of
three years. The members of the FWB Exchange Council re-elected Dr. Lutz Raettig
(Morgan Stanley) as Chairman. The new Chairman of the Eurex Exchange Council is
Gustav R. Gaß (Gass Capital Markets GmbH).

A new daily record is achieved in trading of EUA futures on the market for emission allowances
operated by European Energy Exchange (EEX) and Eurex: 301,000 EUAs are traded. In January, a total
of 2,081,000 EUAs has already been traded. Since December 5 2007, EEX and Eurex have offered their
customers trading of CO2 emission allowances (EUA futures) via a joint platform. 10 new trading
participants were connected in the framework of the co-operation, while another eight are in the
process of licensing. This means a total of 110 trading participants have now been licensed for
trading in EUA futures on EEX.

Eurex has closed out 2007 with record turnover of more than 1.9 billion contracts (2006: 1.5
billion contracts). Eurex grows by approximately 25 percent year-on-year. This corresponds to a
daily average trading volume of 7.5 million contracts compared with 6 million in 2006.
