Eurex's merger with the International Securities Exchange (ISE) is completed.
Thus its global liquidity network is expanded into the U.S. and U.S. Dollar products.
The combination creates the leading transatlantic derivatives marketplace for equity
and equity index derivatives with an overall trading volume of 2.1 billion contracts
in 2006. ISE is a wholly owned subsidiary of Eurex.

Borzen, the Slovenian power exchange, and Eurex, the international derivatives
exchange, create jointly a spot power market for the broader South Eastern European
region - SouthPool. The new company will be launched as of January 2008. Initially,
Borzen will hold a stake of 51 percent in the joint venture, Eurex 49 percent. The
partners aim to establish the leading regional cross-border power exchange with a
spot market for power and gas.

Eurex will continue to expand its international distribution network in 2008. As
of 1 January 2008, an incentive program will be initiated for new traders from
central and (south-)eastern European countries (CEE states), and the Global Connectivity
Initiative, which was launched at the beginning of 2007, will be extended for another year.

European Energy Exchange AG (EEX) and Eurex start their cooperation in emissions
trading. As part of this cooperation, EEX and Eurex offer trading in emission rights
through the Eurex system, which they both use. Eurex participants can trade EEX CO2
products via their existing infrastructure connections; they can get direct access to the
EEX order book if they have been admitted by EEX for trading emission allowance products.

Eurex will be launching new Euro inflation futures on 21 January 2008. The futures
contract will be based on the harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP), which
measures inflation in the Euro zone.

Eurex will be launching around 170 further single stock futures on stocks listed on
the Dow Jones STOXX® 600, RDXxt® USD and S&P 500 indices in the period from October
2007 up to February 2008.

Eurex is expanding its offering of Swiss underlying products to include futures and
options on the SLI Swiss Leader Index® - The new contracts will be launched on 22 October.

The U.S. supervisory authority, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), has
approved trading in further Eurex products on the U.S. market with immediate effect.
The approval comprises the futures on the European Dow Jones STOXX® 600 and Dow Jones
STOXX® Mid 200 indices.

After the corresponding regulatory approval from the Dubai Financial Services Authority at the end of
March 2007, Eurex connects Jebel Tariq Trading DMCC to its international liquidity network as the first
participant from Dubai. By this step, Eurex is the first international exchange with participants that
trade directly from the United Arab Emirates.
