The new GC Pooling Green Bond basket contains debt securities that are issued as sustainable bonds of renewable energies, sustainable waste management, preservation of biodiversity and/or sustainable land utilization and classified as a Green Bond by the data provider WM Datenservice and is a subset of the established Eurex Repo GC Pooling ECB basket.
Eurex Repo introduced the first of its three centrally cleared green bond general collateral baskets eligible for trading in the Special and GC Repo segment in November 2020. This new offering underpins Eurex' group-wide ESG initiatives and again showcases our leading role in providing tools for our clients to foster ESG investments.
It is a high-quality basket focusing on green bonds issued by Central Governments, Local Governments, Supranational and Agency-Credit Institutions and covering three asset types, namely, Bonds, Medium-term notes, and EEA legislative covered bonds.
Clients that are interested in trading the new basket can inform their respective Sales or Key Account Management representative(s) at any time to initiate the setup.
With the start of the business day on Monday, 29 April 2024, the GC Pooling Green Bond Basket will be available for trading and clearing on Eurex Repo.
